About Us

SCP was started in 1988 by 5 engineers: Jesse Turner, Jerry Klein, Jerry Reynolds, John Zukowski, and Elmer Wallace. The company was started with the vision of creating better gas valves and manufacturing OEM ignition system components. In 2000, SCP Inc sold off its gas valve division and focused exclusively on it’s aftermarket replacement component parts.

In 2005, SCP ignition business unit was acquired by SCP Limited Inc. Since SCP Limited’s acquisition the company has added two igniter products and has 3 more in development. This is an exciting time for SCP in it’s history.
